Two Worlds, One Stage

What happens when the rich sound of a concert band meets the swing of a jazz orchestra? Join us for an evening that celebrates the personality of each and the excitement of bringing them together!

The 3-2-1 Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Kurt Schulenburg, brings big-band energy and familiar favorites to the stage. Vocalists Krystal Clarke and Michael Mirand lend their voices to a lineup featuring "Careless Whisper," "For Once in My Life," and the duet "Something Stupid." Add "Palm Beach Blues" and Bob Mintzer’s "Pots and Pans," and you have plenty of reasons to tap your toes.

Signature Winds (formerly known as the MMB Concert Band), conducted by Staci Rosbury, explores a world of bold fanfares, beautiful melodies, and spirited rhythms. From the opening flourish of Robert W. Smith’s Dedicatory Fanfare from “The Odyssey” to Percy Grainger’s tender Ye Banks and Braes O’ Bonnie Doon, the program offers both power and warmth—with Hot as Blue Blazes turning up the heat!

Then, both ensembles join forces for a finale featuring "St. Louis Blues" and "The Stars and Stripes Forever." Hear two musical worlds become one thrilling sound!
