How to Join an Ensemble
Melbourne BandWorks brings together musicians from across Brevard County, from working professionals to lifelong amateurs. There are no membership dues, but the process for joining varies by ensemble.
Signature Winds welcomes new musicians through an informal audition process, while all other ensembles are by invitation only.
Interested musicians are encouraged to connect with ensemble leaders about future opportunities.

A section leader will contact you. We have an informal audition process.
Sit in at a rehearsal
If space is available in the section you are interested in, you will be invited to a rehearsal to sit in the section next to someone who will help evaluate your playing.

About Signature Winds
What we play
Signature Winds plays music up to Grade V. We play a variety of styles and genres, some easier than others.
Who can join
Signature Winds is an adult community band for musicians 18 and up. When a section needs players, a highly qualified student may occasionally be invited to join on a temporary basis.
Not quite ready?
If you need more practice before you are ready to join, we may recommend private instruction and some time playing with New Horizons, an adult beginning and intermediate band.
